The clay refractory castable

The clay refractory castable is a monolithic refractory material, which is a refractory castable made of a clay and a high alumina raw material as an aggregate and a powder, and a binder. The amount of clay castable typically exceeds 40% and the amount of Fe 2 O 3 is less than 2.0% to 2.5%. As one of the refractory castables, the clay refractory castable is usually cast into a lining body or made into a preform by casting and bumping.

The clay refractory castable has high fire resistance, good thermal shock stability, acidity of antibiotics, good alkalinity, high strength, and no cracking after burning. The combined clay selected for the binder has different chemical composition, physical and fire resistance properties depending on the place of production. For the purpose of increasing the use temperature, alumina cement and adjusted particle gradation can be used.

The clay refractory castable has good properties due to their constituent materials. For the component materials, it uses bauxite and calcined vermiculite clay as refractory aggregates, and some other additives are added to make the clay refractory castable. Clay-cast refractories have high bulk density and good high temperature performance and thermal shock stability. In addition, it has good wear resistance. Therefore, such integral refractory materials are commonly used in the lining of various neutral industrial furnaces and kilns.
