Technical Specifications of Large Clay Refractory Bricks for Glass Kiln
A glass melting furnace is a thermal equipment for melting glass composed of refractory materials. When selecting a refractory for glass kiln, the type of kiln, the location of use, the mechanism of damage, the type of molten glass, and the type of pigment should be considered. The refractory for glass kiln should first be well resistant to erosion by glass melt and gaseous objects, and should have a sufficiently high load softening temperature and thermal stability. Therefore, large clay refractory bricks for glass kiln should have the following requirements:
Clay products are acidic refractory products which increase in acidity as the SiO2 content increases. It has a certain resistance to corrosion and is less resistant to alkaline attack. There are different varieties of clay bricks, such as low porosity clay bricks, ultra low porosity clay bricks, low creep, low porosity, low iron clay bricks and the like. Therefore, clay products are preferably used as refractory materials for acid kiln furnaces. Large clay bricks for glass kiln are clay refractory bricks with a weight of not less than 50 kg for masonry glass kiln. 
Clay bricks are used under different conditions due to different forming methods and clay brick aggregates and binders. According to these characteristics, different clay bricks can be selected in different parts of the pool furnace due to different erosion conditions. The lower part of the regenerator and the lower lattice brick are less eroded by the dust and volatile matter of the batch material, the temperature is also lower, and the load is heavy. The brick requires high mechanical strength. Therefore, the conjugate in the brick may contain an appropriate amount of SiO2, Fe2O3, but the clay brick used for the high temperature portion mainly requires high refractoriness, and the conjugate has less impurities.
