Phosphate Bonded High Alumina Brick for Cement Industry

The main raw material of phosphate bonded high alumina brick is dense special grade or first grade high alumina bauxite. The bond is phosphoric acid solution or aluminum phosphate solution. The bricks are molded under semi-dry press and handled with thermal treatment at 400~600°C. Phosphate combined high alumina brick belongs to unburned brick. To avoid the large shrinkage of the products under high temperature, raw materials such as kyanite, sillimanite, pyrophyllite and silica are used. 
 
The common high-alumina bricks are soaked in phosphate or phosphoric acid solution and are taken out through a certain period of time. Through the above experiments, we will find that the R.U.L and bulk density increases, while A.P decreases. Phosphate (or phosphoric acid) can improve the quality of high alumina bricks, extending its serving life.
 
Compared with ceramic fired high-alumina bricks, it has better resistance to spalling. Phosphate bonded high alumina bricks are suitable for cement kiln, electric furnace top, ladle and etc. Compared with fired high-alumina bricks combined with ceramics, its anti-stripping performance is better. Phosphate bonded high alumina bricks are suitable for cement kiln, electric furnace top and ladle.
