The Usage and Construction Requirements of Dry penetration-proof Castable for the Bottom of Alumina Electrolytic Bath

1. The construction of the bottom of electrolytic bath
The insulation products of electrolytic bath content: asbestos board, insulation board and insulation bricks. All of them are constructed by dry construction, when constructed, the gap between the board, bricks and bath is filled and stepped strong by dry penetration-proof  castable or refractory particles. 
2. The technical requirement of dry penetration-proof castable
Dry penetration-proof castable is mainly used in the bottom of electrolytic bath and the lower part of the cathode magnet.
The principle of penetration-proof of product: The castable produced by Jundao(Henan) New Materials Co.,Ltd. Is combined with a variety of particles, scientific mixed, fully mixed by large compression mixer and trapped. Its natural accumulation density is in the best state and it's formed by dry process vibration which can form dense and tight insolation layer. It can react with the electrolyte that leaks along the cracks of the cathode magnet, and produce a high viscosity liquid phase, which can effectively organize the further leakage of the electrolyte to prevent the leakage. Thus reducing the current efficiency of electrolytic bath due to the leakage of electrolyte and extending the service life of the electrolytic bath. At the same time, the dry penetration-proof castable can be used to keep the insulation bricks and the following parts, which can save the cost of materials and reduce the time of overhaul.
3. The construction of dry penetration-proof castable
Generally, it is consolidated in two layer, the first layer added castable to calculated height and paving, spread plastic film on the material and 1mm thickness of cold rolled steel sheet or five-layer plywood in case of dust, with dedicated reciprocating sandstone ram (ram hit about 6500 beats per minute) according to the designed circuits and compaction times. After the first layer is finished, check whether the compaction height of the anti-seepage material reaches its compression ratio, and then lay the second layer after qualified, and consolidated the castable to the design standard in the same way.
